The RCA Regina MRI clinic was a complete design build department renovation, including a new MRI suite, equipment room & control room to accommodate new 1.5T MRI system.  This included a major structural upgrade to isolate the MRI room slab from the rest of the building to prevent image artifacting from vibrations caused by a local train yard. We also installed two 6' x 6' skylights to bring some natural light in to the clinic.

 

The scope of work also included for upgrades to electrical (New transformer, LED lighting, electrical panels and related conduit wiring), mechanical (New chiller system, air handler and localized cooling units), new millwork, floor finishes & room finishes. The project also consisted of a new structural mezzanine, offices, 3 ultrasound rooms, washrooms, nurse station and full kitchen with staff lounge. Geneer also provided coordination of the removal and relocation of the 1.5T MRI system and components from it’s Calgary location and placement in Regina.
